Driving into Sea Cliff Resort & Spa you know you have found something special. The 4 km road through a coconut plantation that leads to the hotel is a reminder of the Zanzibar of old. Peace and tranquility, no other hotels or busy roads just open space and palm trees.

As you enter the courtyard filled with tropical flowers and palms the view of the ocean stands before you. With our traditional makuti roofs and Arabic towers lite by brass lights you know this is not a typical hotel. The decorative natural colour scheme of creams and golds are complimented by all the antique furniture that has been specially sourced to show the culture, the history and the influences that make Zanzibar so unique.

The hotel is situated on a cliff overlooking the Indian ocean and offers panoramic views from the lounge, restaurant, bar and even the recreation area. You can enjoy breakfast overlooking the ocean or have dinner under the stars, or a sundowner on the jetty the choice is yours.

Rooms & Suites

24 Garden Rooms, these rooms are designed in the same style and layout as the superior rooms but they overlook the gardens and not the ocean.

80 Superior Rooms, each of the superior rooms offer panoramic views of the ocean both from the bedroom and the balcony.

16 Junior suites, deluxe rooms. These rooms offer the greatest luxury in the hotel. With double balconies, panoramic sea views with both a shower and a Jacuzzi spa bath that overlooks the ocean. Romantic and luxurious are the only words to describe these rooms.

Mangapwani Restaurant - Located in the thatch boma next to the lounge, serving breakfast and dinner offering both local and international cuisine.

Kobe Restaurant - Located near the second swimming pool, on the second level of the hotel a casual dinning area offering a light lunch menu, including wraps, pizzas etc.

Located near the second swimming pool, on the second level of the hotel. A casual bar over looking the Indian Ocean.

Jetty Bar (Open from 17h00 to 19h00)
The best bar in Zanzibar for watching the sunset ! Located on our jetty offering both comfortable couches for relaxing as well as a mix of exotic cocktails.

At the sea Cliff Resort & Spa we understand the demands of modern day life and so we believe a holiday is more than just enjoyment it's also about finding peace and tranquility and restoring your energy. With our concept in mind we have formed a partnership with Africology a unique company that believes is using natural products and encouraging eco spa development as well as community development.

The Shwari spa offers a range of treatments including facials, manicures, pedicures, body scrubs as well as massages. In the spa we have 5 treatment rooms, including a couples massage room as well as a sauna, steam room and a swimming pool. We also have an additional 2 outdoor treatment rooms on the cliff overlooking the Indian-ocean with panoramic views for massages. All our treatments are provided by internationally trained therapists.

Conferencing

Sea Cliff resort & Spa is the ideal location for conferences, board meetings and incentive groups. With a full conference centre with three conference rooms we can host groups from 10 people up to 120 people. The conference centre has been built to international standards and is fully equipped with data projectors, roaming and desktop microphones, portable screens, whiteboards, PA systems as well as a translation system. The conference centre also has a private conference restaurant for outdoor tea and coffee breaks. With a new restaurant located on the cliff overlooking the ocean delegates can have private meals, gala dinners etc. Our international management team has a great deal of experience hosting conferences such as the World Economic Forum. With a designated conference manager we are able to arrange all of the logistics of your conference including airport transfers, private dinners and even excursions.
